Community Growth
Bedrock Rico Development LLC has been a vision for many years. It was founded in 2022 with a mission to build housing for local workers in Southwest Colorado. Housing has been a hot topic and a main focal point in mountain towns for many years. BRD LLC has watched entities and developers try to solve the problem with a mix of success. We formed our team to fast-track a solution for longer term housing for locals and to develop a template for future developments. Our team is comprised of four Colorado locals who saw a void in the housing market for lower to middle income individuals and families. Engrained in the small communities of Southwest Colorado, BRD is diligently working with community members, workers and local businesses to fine tune its work to help meet the housing needs of the region.
Team
Jason Soules
Jason is a founding member of EHS Partners LLC. As a business consultant, Jason and his firm have successfully helped numerous companies identify and deliver significant efficiency and earning improvements. After spending over 20 years growing the business, Jason decided to move to Telluride with his wife and raise his family.Once embedded in the community, Jason found a discrepancy with the community and the way it housed its locals. Bringing his problem-solving background into the housing crisis, he has been at the forefront of BRD LLC by helping find ways to quickly and cost-effectively create high quality, community-appropriate housing. Jason’s passions outside of work include spending time with his family, competing in triathlons (and all the events that come with it), skiing and just generally being outdoors.
Dave Chew
Dave moved to Telluride from Australia with high aspirations. He instantly fell in love with the San Juan mountains while working at Boot Doctors and later at Wagner Custom Skis. With his engineering background, Dave's most recent venture has been building homes. As the general contractor on the project, he brings his diversity of skills to the table. Dave's passions include long distance tail running, climbing and skiing and what better place to fulfill these passions than living in small town of Ophir.
Ryan Sprackling
Ryan has a diverse work background in engineering, project management, general contracting as well as building his Ophir home. Ryan brings a professionalism to the team that is unmatched.
Richie Parkhill
As a Colorado native, Richie's love for the Rocky Mountains is a given. Growing up exploring the forests, rivers, and deserts of Colorado he discovered the San Juans and decided to call it home. Richie's diverse background of biology, construction, landscaping, entrepreneurial and many more skills bring an imaginative element to the BRD team. With Richie being a part owner of the Dey building on Main Street, he has a passion for making Rico an incredible place to live. When you don’t see Richie around Rico or Telluride (with his rather big, super loveable dog, Hank), he can be found skiing, mountain biking and camping in his VW van.
